This error can happen when you are trying to share the sample clock with a DSA ADC module. Please see the various ADC-s used in NI devices on this link. For only SAR ADC-s the sample clock sharing and a start trigger is sufficient for synchronized operation, but for DSA ADC-s the situation is a little more complex.
