Does LabVIEW DSC OPC Client I/O Read from Cache or from Device?

Issue Details

Does the LabVIEW DSC OPC client I/O read from cache or from device? I have gone through the OPC Client I/O Server Dialog Box , but I cannot find the relevant settings.  

Solution

LabVIEW DSC OPC Client I/O only reads from cache. Reading directly from the device is not supported.

Additional Information

In some OPC Client applications, the client can choose to read either from the OPC server's internal cache or from an actual device. While the former is conventional in OPC communication, the latter is sometimes used for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes. Refer to the external link in Related Links.
