Issue Details

I want to share files between my OPC UA Server and Client. Is this possible using the OPC UA Toolkit?
Can I use UPC UA VIs to transfer files from a cRIO Server?
How can I transfer file from an RT Target to a Client using OPC UA?
I need to programmatically transfer files using the OPC UA protocol in LabVIEW™. How can I do this?

Solution

As of LabVIEW and LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit version 2021, there are no native VIs that allow for file transfers within the LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit. For a list of included VIs and their functionality, see OPC UA VIs.

If using a Linux RT Target as a Server or Client, NI recommends the following alternative methods:
