NI-VISA Configuration crashes on Mac OS

Issue Details

After installing the NI-VISA 21.0 on Mac OS the driver wizard completes without error, but the NI-VISA Configuration quits unexpectedly on launching.

Solution

In order to solver the issue, NI's Team ID needs to be added to the kext-consent list, to do this try the following steps:
  1. Boot to recovery mode by holding Command-R during boot
  2. Once in recovery mode, open the Terminal application
  3. Add consent for the NI team ID with the following comment:
    1. spctl kext-consent add SKTKK2QZ74
