Why do Kunbus C-Series PROFIBUS and PROFINET Modules Need An Empty Slot?

Issue Details

Kunbus C-Series PROFIBUS and PROFINET modules state they should be placed in slot 1 with an empty slot 2. Why is this?

Solution

Kunbus C-Series PROFIBUS and PROFINET modules use an excess of power compared to other C-Series modules. This results in generating a large amount of heat which will affect neighbouring modules, and as such may take these out of specification.

Additional Information

The reason for using Slot 1 is that this is common across both 4-slot and 8-slot and requires minimal API change.
