Unable to Rename LabVIEW Shared Variable Using Multiple Variable Editor

Issue Details

I have created several shared variables in LabVIEW project. However, when I tried rename the shared variable that I had created using multiple variable editor, it keep unchanged after I click done. I also tried right click on the shared variable and renaming it but after I saved and reopen it, it still showing its previously name.
 

Solution

This is a known issue #614154 . If you attempt to rename a shared variable that has a special characters in its name, the name will revert to its previous name when the project is reopened. This issue will occur too when you use Chinese characters in a shared variable's name.

Kindly make sure no special characters are used in shared variable name so this issue can be avoided.
