Option To Build EXE Not Present In LabVIEW Build Specifications

Issue Details

  • When I right-click on the Build Specifications option to build my Application (EXE) under My Computer, I don't see the option.
  • When I right-click on the Build Specifications option to build my Real-Time Application under Real-Time Target, I don't see the option.

Why is this option unavailable?

Solution

The option to Build an Executable will only be available if the LabVIEW Application Builder is installed and activated on your system. You will be able to verify the activation status of LabVIEW Application builder in the NI License Manager.

Additional Information

Application Builder is not included with LabVIEW Full Development System and is a part of LabVIEW Professional Development System. Refer to Which LabVIEW Edition Do I Need? for more details.
