Issue Details

I am trying to use the component TPS 2817 (Mitsubishi MOSFET Driver) on my Multisim for simulation purpose. However, when I add the component on my layout and run the simulation, the output voltage appeared to be very low or near zero. Whereas according to the manual the expected outcome for TPS 2817 is 10V.

Solution

This happens because the TPS28XX series components in Multisim do not come with a SPICE simulation model in them. In another words, they are only for layout and not for simulation purposes.

A component's Detail report  in Multisim with no SPICE Model for simulation will look like below:

If you need to manually add a simulation model for your component refer to the Multisim Manual for Adding a Model to a Component and creating a SPICE Model for a Component.

Additional Information

If you wish to look for ready made SPICE Model for your component, you can enquire Texas Instrument Support to check if they have one readily available for your particular TPS28XX component.
