SDI Plug-in – Maxon Motor MAXPOS v1.0.2.5

Issue Details

I am receiving Error Code : 5005  when trying to install a LabVIEW add-on (SDI Plug-in – Maxon Motor MAXPOS v1.0.2.5) through my VI Package Manager.

Error 5005 on VIPM 

Is there anything I can do to resolve this error?


The error can be caused by missing software or unestablished connection between the VI Package Manager and LabVIEW. Check the following steps to ensure everything is properly set up before installing your add-ons through VI Package Manager: 
  1. Make sure that you are using a 32-bit version LabVIEW to connect to your VI Package Manager, 64-bit version LabVIEW is not supported by VI Package Manager.
  2. Make sure that your VI Package Manager is connected to your LabVIEW by referring to VI Package Manager(VIPM) cannot Connect to LabVIEW .
  3. Install LabVIEW Softmotion Module which is required for VI Package Manager to function.
  4. Install the required software including.
  • LabVIEW
  • LabVIEW Real-Time Module
  • NI RIO, LabVIEW SoftMotion Module
  • NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT
