Unable to Find Test Panels for NI R Series Multifunction RIO Module

Issue Details

I have a PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O module and I'm trying to test it with the help of NI MAX test panels, like I do with my PXI DAQ modules. But NI MAX does not provide an option to use test panels with these PXI Multifunction RIO modules. How can I test my module ?

Solution

PXI R series modules use NI R Series Multifunction RIO drivers. These drivers do not have test panel functionality in NI MAX. This is because the I/O operations on R Series devices must be programmed through the FPGA. So a convenient way to test these modules is to deploy and run a LabVIEW shipping example program.
