Issue Details

When I trying to build any DAQmx example in LabWindows/CVI I get multiple link errors like the one shown below:
Build Status (Acq-IntClk.prj - Debug)

Link Acq-IntClk_dbg.exe
error: Undefined symbol '_DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming@32' referenced in "c:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\CVI\samples\DAQmx\Analog In\Measure Voltage\Acq-Int Clk\cvibuild.Acq-IntClk\Debug\Acq-IntClk.obj".

Build failed.

Solution

To resolve this error, follow the steps up below:
  1.  In LabWindows/CVI, there should be a folder on the bottom left corner labeled Libraries. Right-click on this folder and select Customize Library Menu.
  2. Make sure that NI-DAQmx is selected.
  3. Select OK to close out of the menu.
  4. You will need to restart the application. So make sure to completely close out of LabWindows/CVI and then reopen.
  5. Reopen one of the DAQmx examples.
  6. Try building the example program now. The examples should build successfully now.
