Error: DeviceMonitor.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Issue Details

When I launch NI Device Monitor, I receive the error “DeviceMonitor.exe - Entry Point Not Found”. I also receive error “SCNotifications has stopped working” repeatedly. How can I resolve these errors?

Solution

This issue can be seen if there is an incompatible or corrupted DLL of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. You can resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft .NET Framework.

Additional Information

For each National Instruments software, the required .NET Framework version can be found in the Readme file for the same. For example, if you are using LabVIEW 2017 then the .NET Framework 4.6.2 is required.
