Error on NI-MAX After Updating the Firwmare on my Linux Real Time Target

Issue Details

I've followed the indications provided in Upgrading or Downgrading Firmware on My NI Linux Real-Time Device to update the firmware on my Linux Real Time target, but I received the following message on NI-MAX:

The firmware update completed, but the device encountered a problem. Make sure the selected firmware is valid and retry the firmware update. If the problem persist, contact National Instruments for support.

After refreshing  I can't see the target on NI-MAX. How can I recover the target?

Solution

Please make sure to follow the indications provided in NI CompactRIO or Network Device Doesn't Show Up or is Missing in MAX If after following the provided step the target is unrechable, you should use a recovery process with the guidance of our Technical Support Engineering department.
