DIAdem Starts Automatically at PC Boot-Up

Issue Details

Every time I boot my PC and the desktop comes on, DIAdem is started automatically. What can I do in order to prevent this automatic start?

Solution

There can be several reasons why DIAdem is started automatically after the PC boot-up.
  • Check if the DIAdem.exe is in the auto-start folder. You can find the auto-start folder here: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
  • Check if DIAdem is set as the default program for .vbs files. Open the settings in the Windows startmenu. Click on Apps and then choose default apps. Then click on Choose default app by file type and search the ending .vbs. If DIAdem is set as default app for .vbs files, change the default app to Windows Based Script Host.Untitled picture.png
 

Additional Information

At PC boot-up some .vbs-files are executed and if DIAdem is the default program, it is therefore automatically started.
