Issue Details

I am using the 64-bit version of LabVIEW 2018 and when I activate a Third Party LabVIEW Add-on, the add-on status in Third Party Add-on Activation Wizard is Invalid.

Solution

This is a known issue in LabVIEW 2017, 2018 and 2019 64-bit. Below is a workaround to activate the Third-Party LabVIEW Add-On.
  1. Uninstall the invalid toolkit from both 32 and 64-bit LabVIEW as described in Download & Manage LabVIEW Add-ons with VI Package Manager (VIPM)
  2. Navigate to  <ProgramData>\National Instruments\Partners\<Invalid Addon>\Licenses and ensure that the *.lf file is deleted.
  3. Manually delete the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\LabVIEW\<Version>\PartnerAddons\<Invalid Addon> folder in Windows registry.
  4. Download the attachment RegisterAddon.exe
  5. Navigate to <ProgramFiles>\National Instruments\LabVIEW Version\resource\Partners and replace the original RegisterAddon.exe with the downloaded attachment.
  6. Reinstall the desired Third Party LabVIEW Add-on.
  7. Use the Third Party Add-on Activation Wizard to activate the add-on.

For LabVIEW 2017: The suggested workaround might not work on a system with LabVIEW 2017 (64-bit). If you try the steps above and still have Invalid activation status, consider upgrading to LabVIEW 2017 SP1 (64-bit).
This should activate the add-ons correctly and will allow to avoid this scenario in the future.

Additional Information

This issue has been fixed in the LabVIEW 2019 SP1 64-bit version.
