Issue Details

I experience timing issues between several Automotive Ethernet ports or want to check if my ports are synchronized properly. How can I check that?

Solution

There are multiple ways to check if two Automotive Ethernet ports are synchronized or not. You have the following options:
  1. Use the XNET Wait (Ethernet Synced).vi. This VI waits for the Ethernet interface to synchronize with the network.
  2. You can also use the Interface:Ethernet:Time Sync:Port:Sync Status XNET property to check the current state of the port synchronization. This property is also great for troubleshooting due to detailed information about the connection status.
  3. There is also the Interface:Ethernet:Time Sync:Port:Synced? XNET property which returns if the port is synchronized.
Refer to the links above for detailed information about synchronization states on masters or slaves or connection status information for debugging.
