No Software Will Be Installed Message When Installing DIAdem DataPlugin

Issue Details

  • I tried to install .SIF DataPlugin from ni.com. While the installation file was running, installation summary said "No software will be installed or removed". However, I couldn't find .SIF DataPlugin in DIAdem DataPlugin settings, so I cannot import .SIF files into DIAdem. How can I solve this problem?
  • How can I reinstall DIAdem DataPlugin?

Solution

While installing the DataPlugin, Installation Summary "No software will be installed or removed" means that the installation file already exists in directory:
C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Plugins\DataPlugins 

To reinstall the DataPlugin, follow below steps.
  1. Open the DIAdem NAVIGATOR tab.
  2. Settings>>Extensions>>DataPlugins...
  3. Click the 5th icon from the left on the top menu, 'Import a DataPlugin'.
  4. Find the installer(*.uri) what you want in file directory. then, click the Open.
  5. Click Yes or Yes, All.

 

Additional Information

In DIAdem DataPlugin Settings, if you right-click the DataPlugin to remove it, it is not completely deleted from the file directory. For complete removal or reinstallation, the .uri file in the file directory must be erased or the import described above must be performed.
