Issue Details

I have an analog input module with selectable voltage measurement levels and it's unclear to me if the specified safe input voltage of my device is.

Solution

In the specification of analog input devices there is two different values you need to pay attention to:

  • Maximum Measurement voltage
  • Channel to Earth Isolation

Maximum Measurement voltage is the highest voltage value the device can detect while Channel to Earth Isolation is the the maximum voltage the device can take before being damaged, often referred to as safe voltage level.

Additional Information

These values can be found in the device specific specification document, you can search for the one that matches your module here.
