Can I Use the TestStand Migration Utility to Migrate My Sequences?

Issue Details

I would like to migrate my sequences to a different version of TestStand. Can I use the TestStand Migration Utility to upgrade or downgrade the versions of any TestStand sequence?

Solution

The TestStand Migration Utility will not be able to either upgrade or downgrade the version of a sequence. This particular tool will be able to copy certain configuration and public component files from folders of previous versions of TestStand to the current installed version of TestStand. Additional Information

If you wish to upgrade or downgrade a sequence in TestStand, you can follow the next steps:
  1. In the TestStand Sequence Editor, go to File >> Save Sequence File 1 As...
  2. In the Save As popup, navigate to the location where you would like to save the sequence, and write the name you would like the sequence to have. 
  3. Below the File Name, click the dropdown menu for the Files of Type and select the version of TestStand you would like the sequence to be saved as.
