BIOS Screen Appears Every Time When Booting PXI Controller

Issue Details

  • When I boot the PXI controller, I see the BIOS setting screen appear on the display. This situation did not occur in the past. Why does this happen?
  • When I select the Boot Configuration (Windows or Real Time OS) and select Save Changes and Reset in BIOS setting, the selected OS boots at reboot. But once I shutdown the system, next time when the controller boots I see the BIOS screen. Should I send the controller for repair?

Solution

This behavior may occur because the battery implemented in the PXI controller is dead. Replacing the battery can solve the issue. For replacement, refer to PXI and PXIe Controllers Replace Battery or the user manual of your controller.
