I would like to be able to run one or more Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) inspections either at startup or through another program.  Is there a way to do this?

There is a way to do this. Vision Builder AI has command line functions that can be executed.  You can start an inspection from the command line by calling the following:

start "" "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI 2009 SP1\Vision Builder.exe" /inspect "<path to .vbai file>"

You can also set these inspections to run at startup by creating a batch file with these commands. This is particularly useful on Windows machines, where you may have multiple cameras attached.
