USB-5132 Not Detected on NI MAX or LabVIEW

Issue Details

I am connecting the USB-5132 to my desktop Windows computer and I cannot find my device on NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) or LabVIEW.

Solution

This issue can be caused by the following reasons:
  • Missing hardware driver.
  • Missing configuration support dependencies for hardware.
 

Missing hardware driver

  1. In case you are using LabVIEW, check the driver compatibility here.
  2. Install the driver NI-SCOPE compatible with your application development environment (ADE) version and OS.
 

Missing configuration support dependencies for hardware

These dependencies can be installed from NI Package Manager. 

Follow these steps to install the missing dependencies:
  1. Open NI Package Manager.
  2. Go to the Installed tab.
  3. Search NI-SCOPE.
  4. Hover the mouse over NI-SCOPE and click on the gear icon by the end of the line while the mouse is still over.

  1. Select all missing dependencies for the hardware configuration support.

  1. Click on Next to continue the installation.
  2. Once installed, reboot your machine.
