Solution
Typically this error only occurs when the camera has been previously plugged into a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port. In very rare cases NI-IMAQdx does not update the internal profile that gets generated anytime a camera gets connected to your computer.
To fix this issue, please follow these steps:
- Make sure that the Camera is connect to a USB 3.0 port and not USB 2.0.
- If the parameters are still as per the datasheet, please proceed.
- Unplug your camera from your computer and close NI MAX.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data
- Find the .icd file with the model name of your camera and delete it.
- Navigate to the XML folder and delete any file that has the model name of the camera you are having issues with.
- Restart your computer.
- Plug the camera back into the computer
- Open NI MAX. You should now be able to set the correct parameters for your camera
