NI-SWITCH Custom Device Is Missing From VeriStand

Issue Details

I have installed VeriStand and the VeriStand custom devices but when I right-click on custom devices in the VeriStand System Explorer, the "NI-SWITCH" option is missing. 
How can I get the NI-SWITCH custom device?

Solution

The NI-SWITCH custom device is only installed as part of the VeriStand Custom Devices package if the NI-SWITCH driver is already installed on your host PC. 
To get the NI-SWITCH custom device:
  1. Open NI Package Manager
  2. Go to the INSTALLED tab and search for VeriStand Custom Devices
  3. Select VeriStand Custom Devices and click REMOVE
  4. Allow the uninstall process to complete 
  5. Download the NI-SWITCH driver  or search NI Package Manager for NI-SWITCH and install the driver
  6. Once the NI-SWITCH driver has been installed, we need to reinstall the VeriStand Custom Device package so open up NI Package Manager
  7. Search for VeriStand Custom Devices and install the version that matches the version of VeriStand you are using 
One the install has completed, restart VeriStand if it was open and you should now have NI-SWITCH in the custom device options
