Issue Details

  • When SystemLink Server is installed on a domain-registered server PC and started, an error occurs in some functions.
  • SystemLink stopped working properly when I changed the domain of the PC on which SystemLink Server was installed. I am getting numerous errors in my NI SystemLink server configuration.

Solution

This problem is often caused by a license check problem or execution rights for services related to SystemLink. If you're getting a license-related error, check this document .

Some services used by SystemLink are run by the authority of the SystemLink TDM User Account. Launch NI SystemLink TDM Configuration and log in using a Windows Account that is domain-registered with the SystemLink TDM User Account to perform a SystemLink-related reboot.

It is desirable that the Windows Account used here is a server-only account that does not require changes such as passwords. For accounts that require password changes on a regular basis, the privileges are updated when the password is changed, so SystemLink-related services will generate an error that the execution privileges have been lost. After updating the password, you can reconfirm the authority and restart the service by logging in again on the above screen.

Also, regarding the format of the Windows Account when logging in, open the following user selection screen from the "..." part, enter the login account name, etc., and confirm the name. format can be checked. Many companies use a format such as username@companyname.com.
