Error When Installing NI Vision Builder Application in Smart Camera

Issue Details

When I open the NI Vision Builder Application for Automated Inspection in my host PC, I can select my Smart Camera to install the NI Vision Builder Application on it:

But after the step 3 of 3 of the installation (after clicking Ok), the following error occurs, even when I am trying to format the target before installing the software: 
Error Message Not Found 
An error occurred at an unidentified location, or this error code is not listed in the internal error database.

Solution

To avoid this error, the solution is to format the Smart Camera target in NI MAX. Please follow these steps to solve the problem:
  • Go to the device tree in NI MAX, right-click on the device and then select Format,
  • Install the Vision Builder application on the target.
