Solution
There are different reasons why this error may be occurring, in general, follow the instructions below to make sure that your controller has all the necessary software/drivers to access your Thunderbolt device properly.
- Update to the latest version of the BIOS of your PXIe controller.
- Reboot your controller and boot into the BIOS by clicking the <DEL> key.
- Go to the Advance tab and access the Thunderbolt Configuration.
- Make sure that Thunderbolt Support is enabled.
- Make sure that Thunderbolt Security Level is configured to User Authorization.
- Save that changes and boot into Windows.
- If you are still not having access to your device, make sure that you have access to the Thunderbolt Control Center, if not, please reinstall the application.
- Once you have access to the Thunderbolt Control Center, make sure to approve your device and configure it to "Always Connect".
- If the issue persists, contact NI Support.
