SystemLink Client Fails to Forward Stored Test Results From TestStand

Issue Details

I configured TestStand on my SystemLink Client to send test results directly to SystemLink with the custom report output Result Processing >> NI SystemLink Test Monitor Client.  The resulting test results do accumulate on the SystemLink Client, but they don't forward to the SystemLink Server.

Solution

This issue can happen if the following installed SystemLink Client components are a version less than 21.5.2
  • NI SystemLink File Store
  • NI SystemLink Test Monitor Store
  • NI SystemLink Forwarding Service
To solve this, use the following steps:
1. Review the SystemLink Client component versions you have installed on the SystemLink Client computer in the NI Package Manager

2. Enter "SystemLink" in the search field and uncheck the Products only checkbox.
  •     You want all SystemLink Client components in a version 22.x (2022 Q4) or higher or with a 21.3.3 (2021 R3 Patch3) or 21.5.2 version (2022 Q1 Patch2).
3. Uninstall the entire SystemLink Client product from the NI Package Manager.

4. Reboot the SystemLink Client computer

5. Install the entire SystemLink Client product in a version 22.x (2022 Q4) or higher or with a 21.3.3 (2021 R3 Patch3) or 21.5.2 version (2022 Q1 Patch2).

6. Reboot the SystemLink Client computer

7. Re-enter the SystemLink Server hostname in the SystemLink Client dialog (Windows) or MAX (Linux).
