Issue Details

The XNET IP stack is an implementation of the TCP/IP protocol suite. It can create everything required for TCP and UDP communication. The OS stack is typically used with applications designed to use traditional TCP-based or UDP-based protocols for network communication. So can I use the XNET IP stack and OS stack simultaneously on the same Ethernet port of PXIe-8523?

Solution

No, you can't. i210 or XNET IP Stack can be used, not both simultaneously. The i210 is always linked by default. When you use an XNET session to start the XNET interface (i.e., link up of Direct mode or XNET IP Stack), that disconnects the i210. When you clear/close the XNET interface, the i210 reappears in the OS and goes back to link-up.
