Solution
The sbRIO-9237 is compatible with Class 2 TEDS. Check from the manufacturer or the documentation what type of TEDS configuration your sensor has.
The HBK uses a so-called “Zero Wire Technology” in some of its devices. That means that the TEDS chip is placed between the excitation and the sense line (the sense lead acting as the signal lead and the excitation voltage line as the ground) as shown below:
To switch from measurement mode to TEDS, the user must supply voltage between the excitation voltage line and the associated sense lead.
Since the sbRIO-9237 was designed for Class 2 TEDS, it is not compatible with this type of sensor.
As a workaround, ask the sensor manufacturer for the TEDS file, then
virtually integrate it into the NI MAX.
