Issue Details

  • I am using a PXIe-8880 controller. Whenever I try to change the display resolution to a different scale, the display resolution is always automatically set to the lowest resolution.
  • I am using a VGA-to-DP converter to connect the PXIe-8881 controller to a screen monitor. I am not able to set the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 properly.

Solution

You may try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
  • Change the cable connector used to connect the screen monitor with the PXI controller. If possible, avoid using a VGA or VGA-to-DP connector. Although the current VGA port can sometimes boost the resolution up to 1920 x1080, but we do not guarantee that every VGA cable is capable doing so. By default, PXI/PXIe controller only has DP port connection. Use the DP connector to verify the display resolution.
  • Change the monitor.
  • Check the display adapters in Windows Device Manager. Ensure the display adapters have no errors or warnings.
  • Check for the latest firmware update on the PXI controller. You could easily find the firmware download for the PXI controller. Follow the readme instructions provided after downloading the PXI controller firmware to update the firmware correctly.
