Activating Multisim

This article lists the steps to activate Multisim. First, you need to determine the type of license you own. If you are interested in purchasing a Multisim license, visit How to Purchase and Activate Multisim Student Edition. Second, you need to download the corresponding Multisim edition. After installation, you will activate your software depending on the type of license you have. 

  1. Determine the license type you have. The Multisim edition you will activate depends on the purchased license. 
    1. If you are a student and you have purchased your license from Studica, then your Serial Number will activate a license seat for Multisim Student Edition.  
    2. If you are a student and your school has an Academic Volume License Agreement, then you can access a license for Multisim Education Edition.  
    3. If you have purchased Multisim Base, Full or Power Pro Edition, then your license will activate the corresponding edition. 

  

  1. Download the software depending on the license you own. Find the software download on the ni.com website. This is what you need to download: 
    1. Download Multisim.
    2. If you have a Student Edition or an Education Edition license, download Multisim Suite Education Edition.  
    3. If you have a Multisim Base Edition, a Multisim Full Edition, or a Multisim Power Pro Edition license, download Multisim Professional Edition.  
  1. This is what you need to activate: 
    1. If you are a student and you have purchased your license from Studica, activate your Multisim Student Edition in NI License Manager.  
    2. If you are a student and your school has an Academic Volume License, ask your software administrator for a license to activate Multisim Education Edition.  
    3. If you have purchased Multisim Base, Full or Power Pro Edition, activate the corresponding edition in NI License Manager.
