DAQ Assistant Fails To Generate Code

Issue Details

Using the DAQAssistant on LabVIEW 2026 Q1 with DAQmx 2026 Q1 installed fails to complete the DAQAssistant configuration process and gives the following code generation error: 

LabVIEW Code Generation failed to execute. This may occur if the code gen engine is not properly installed, or if you are using a LabVIEW version under development.

This behavior has been also observed in LabVIEW 2022Q3, LabVIEW 2023Q1 and LabVIEW 2023Q3.

Solution

This is a known bug when using the DAQ Assistant with NI-DAQmx. The workaround is to install LabVIEW 2026 Q1 Core Patch 2 (released on 31.05.2026) or later versions. 

This bug can also be fixed by using particular pairs of LabVIEW and DAQmx versions together.
