Issue Details

I would like to delete station global variables from TestStand but the option is not available (Greyed Out). How to delete the station global variables?

Solution

TestStand saves the StationGlobals: variables in the StationGlobals.ini file in the directory ""C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 2022 (32-bit)\Cfg\StationGlobals.ini" automatically after closing the TestStand Engine. There are two approaches to delete the station global variables.

Method 1: Removing the entire container

To delete the individual variables from the entire container, it is only possible to delete the complete container manually.

Method 2:  Deleting the StationGlobals.ini file

Delete the complete StationGlobals.ini file. This will remove the entire set of variables created within the sequence. On restarting the TestStand again, an empty StationGlobals.ini file will be created. (Please make sure to create a backup of the .ini file before deleting)
