Can I Create a Username and Password to the NI OPC UA Toolkit Server?

Issue Details

I am using NI LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit to create a server and client. I want to add a username and password to the server and use it for client-side for authorization. Only on the OPC client VIs have the username/password option. Can I set a username and password for the OPC UA server that the OPC UA client can use?

Solution

There is no option with the LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit Server to create a  username and password.

Authentication certificates ensure the client has the credentials to access the server. Further information can be found in the documents in the Related Links section.
