Downloading Software From the NI Website Does Not Start

Issue Details

When trying to download software from the NI website (ni.com), the downloading page seems unresponsive, the download doesn't start.
Clicking "restart the download" does not seem to work either.

Solution

Some software requires a Package Manager to be installed first. 
If an installer needs a Package Manager, it is described on the Download Detail Page.

Please make sure that the necessary Package Manager is correctly installed.
The Package Manager can be installed by following the link in the related Note.

After clicking the Download button, the website is trying to open the corresponding Package Manager to perform the download and installation:

If the Package Manager is not installed, then the popup doesn't appear and the download doesn't start.
