NI License Manager error: Provided license file is invalid

Issue Details

I have received a License File to set up my Volume License Server, however, when I tried to install it in NI License Manager, I got an invalid License File error.

Solution

The cause of this issue is that NI License Manager is the software used to activate/deactivate NI software or add a server on the client computers.

The solution is to add the License File on the server using NI Volume License Manager: Getting Started with NI VLM: Installing the License File.

Additional Information

The Install License File… feature in NI License Manager is used for disconnected licenses on client computers, so the server License File is not valid for the software. Visit Activating NI Software Using a Disconnected License for more information.
