Can PXIe-8861 M.2 Hard Drive be Upgraded?

Issue Details

The 512 GB M.2 hard drive of PXIe-8861 does not meet my system requirement. Can the M.2 hard drive be upgraded?

Solution

NI does not recommend the user to upgrade M.2 hard drive of PXIe-8861. The removal of the M.2 hard drive will damage the thermal gap pad. With the thermal gap pad damaged, the hard drive will experience higher temperature while operating and hence impacting its overall performance.
