Installed the AIM Mil-Std-1553 Driver but the Palette Does Not Show on LabVIEW

This article explains the extra steps required to use the AIM MIL-STD-1553 VIs on LabVIEW. At the end, you will find the palette on the LabVIEW Function Palette» Instrument I/O» Instr Drivers.

To use the AIM MIL-STD-1553 VIs on LabVIEW you must add the library through JKI VI Package Manager. Follow the next steps:

1. Confirm that the installation was successful. The installation will result in the creation of a Start Menu entry which can be located by going to Start » All Apps » AIM GbmH » MIL-STD-1553.

2. Open the JKI VI Package Manager and select Open Package File(s).

3. This action will open a new window. Search the \Add-Ons\LabView folder usually located at: C:\Program Files\AIM GmbH\MIL-STD-1553 Windows BSP 14.1.2\Add-Ons\LabView

4. Select and add the .VIP file inside the folder.

5. Select Add to Library & Install.

6. Select Finish.
