How To Configure Extended Voltage Range in NI PXIe-6570/ 6571 PPMU Function

Updated Feb 2, 2024

Environment

Hardware

  • PXIe-6571
  • PXIe-6570

Software

  • LabVIEW

Driver

  • NI-Digital Pattern Driver

We want to use the 6571's PPMU function to force 6.5V and measure the current, but I can't control the 6571 PPMU to output 6.5v when using API or DPE, which is displayed as exceeding the range. In addition, the spec shows that the PPMU will have a greater error at a voltage of 6-7v. Here, I would like to know whether the error refers to the force voltage error or the measure current error.

1. Download and install NI-Digital Pattern Driver from NI-Digital Pattern Driver Download - NI

2. Open VI example from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2021\examples\instr\niDigital\PPMU Source and Measure\NI-Digital PPMU Source and Measure

3. Refer to VI above and add niDigital Property Node to configure the Extended Voltage Range and voltage limit.

It is not possible to set this within the NI Digital Pattern Editor.
