Network Ports Required for SystemLink

Updated Mar 11, 2024

Software

  • SystemLink

Issue Details

  • I am having trouble connecting clients to my SystemLink server. What network ports does SystemLink need to communicate?
  • What ports should I whitelist or open in my firewall for SystemLink to work?

Solution

SystemLink requires that following network ports to be open on the server:
  • Port 80 (for HTTP insecure)
  • Port 443 (for HTTPS using TLS)
  • Ports 4505-4506 (for Salt Service)
  • Port 5672 (for RabbitMQ)
  • Ports 2343, 2809 and 59100-59110 (for the DataFinder)
The SystemLink installation process manages port configuration. Generally, no additional steps are required. However, some anti-virus software or IT security software can block the opening of these ports. SystemLink does not open ports on the client device(s).

Additional Information

Refer to Network Security - SystemLink Operations Handbook for a detailed description of the protocols used by SystemLink Server.
