Dragging and Dropping NI-DAQ™mx Remote Tasks From NI MAX Into LabVIEW

Issue Details

  • I tried to drag and drop NI-DAQ™mx local task into my block diagram of LabVIEW and it transformed into a constant as expected, however when I try the same process with a remote task it does not work, it only converts into a tag. Why is this happening?

Solution

Remote data acquisition is not supported by the NI-DAQmx driver, which means that the fact of a remote task not converting into a constant when dragged from NI MAX and dropped into a block diagram of LabVIEW is not an error but an expected behavior, since this feature is only available for local systems.
