When I export a plot in a DIAdem report, I lose the transparency that I have associated with any colored background segments in my plots.
I would like the transparency to be maintained, as it helps to show overlapping areas, how can I do this?

There are multiple ways to maintain plot transparency:

  1. Navigate to Settings»DIAdem Settings»REPORT and enable the Output to printer with transparency checkbox.
  2. Choose one of the methods described below:
  • Check the Output print data as graphic option from Settings»DIAdem Settings»REPORT. It specifies whether DIAdem first saves the report temporarily as a graphic before it prints this graphic or outputs it as a PDF file. Activate this setting if your printer does not output extended display options, such as transparent areas, correctly.

Note that if you select this setting, you will not be able to mark text in the created PDF documents.

  • Check the Create PDF files with Microsoft Printer option. This will preserve transparency without the need to convert to a graphic.
