Error -225202 Occured At Daqmxcfg_DAQmx Start Task. vi:4410001

Issue Details

I have a NI-9231 module in a cDAQ-9189 chassis. When I try to open NI MAX Test Panel for the NI-9231 module, I get the following error:

Error -225202 occured at daqmxcfg_DAQmx Start Task .vi:4410001

Possible Reason(s):

Internal Software Error occurred in MIO software. Please contact National Instruments Support.

Solution

Error -225202 indicates that NI MAX was unable to successfully communicate with the module. The problem could be related to a Software Corruption, a problem with the NI MAX Technical Database or a Hardware Failure. You can perform the below Troubleshooting Steps:
 

• Perform a Self-Test and Reset on the module & observe whether the same error is reported.
• Try Inserting the module in another slot in the CDAQ chassis & opening NI MAX Test Panel.
• Check whether other CDAQ modules work properly in the CDAQ chassis & whether you are able to open NI MAX Test Panel for them.
• Try inserting your module in another CDAQ chassis & opening NI MAX Test Panel.
• Observe the ports in the cDAQ chassis that the module plugs into & check for any bent pins.

If the error still persists after following the above steps, you can try the below additional steps:
 

• Try resetting the NI MAX Configuration Database. Please note that doing this will delete any custom scales or tasks that you might have configured. It is recommended to backup your NI MAX system configuration before resetting the database to preserve these settings and tasks in a configuration file. After resetting the database, reconnect to your cDAQ module and try using the NI MAX Test Panel again.
• Try to un-install and re-install the DAQmx drivers. This will resolve any Host-PC software installation issues and help resolve this error.
• Try upgrading the DAQmx drivers  to a later version if possible after checking the Hardware Compatibility and LabVIEW Compatibility with  the DAQmx driver version.
