Data Receiving Issue When Using LabVIEW OPC UA Function With Omron NX1 PLC Series

Issue Details

  • I was managed to write data to the OPC UA server from LabVIEW, and those data were updated in Omron PLC accordingly. However, when I try to read the corresponding data from Omron PLC, those data not able to update in LabVIEW vi. I already checked with the keyed in server URL, node path was correct without any error prompt out. Am I missed out on any setting or configuration in LabVIEW in order to read out data from the OPC UA server at Omron PLC.
  • I am facing an issue to read the variable from the Omron OPC UA server. What should I do to resolve the issue?

Solution

There is a bug on the LabVIEW 2015 which it is not supported to communicate with the Omron OPC UA server. To resolve the issue, you may need to upgrade LabVIEW to the LabVIEW 2019 version.
