Auto Sensing, or
Auto MDI-X (Medium Dependent Interface Crossover) automatically detects the required cable connection type and configures the connection appropriately, removing the need for crossover cables to interconnect switches or connecting PCs peer-to-peer.
All NI Ethernet Interface Modules with copper PHYs (PXI-8231, PXI-8232, PXIe-8234 and PXIe-8245) support Auto MDI-X.
PXIe-8238 and PXIe-8240 both use SFP modules, so it depends on what the module you are using.
