KUNBUS DF PROFINET IO Board Not Recognized in NI MAX

Issue Details

  • I have a KUNBUS DF PROFINET I/O board installed in my system, but it is not recognized in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
  • When installing the KUNBUS Profinet VISA Drivers, I get the following error: The wizard was interrupted before KUNBUS Profinet VISA Driver (Version x.x.x) could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. 
 

Solution

This error happens when you have an installer with the incorrect bitness. To solve this issue, you can follow these instructions:
  1. Verify your Windows OS bitness.
  2. If you have Windows 32-bits, you should use the KUNBUS Profinet VISA Drivers 32-bits installer, and the same with the 64-bits version.
  3. After installing the correct installer, you should be able to see the device in NI MAX.
