Error While Reading the DataFinder Configuration in DIAdem

Issue Details

When I try to configure the My DataFinder in DIAdem, I get the following error message:

An error has occurred while reading the DataFinder configuration. Try to restart the DataFinder.



This error may occur because of a corrupted DataFinder configuration or a DIAdem required service is not running correctly. To solve the issue, try the following steps:
  • Open the Windows Services and verify that the NI PSP Service Locator is running. Refer to Internal Error (70) NI PSP Service Locator Could Not Be Started Properly if the service is not running or is getting errors when trying to start it.
  • If the above service is running correctly, you can try to reset the index and configuration the DataFinder is currently using:
    1. Launch DIAdem.
    2. Go to NAVIGATOR>>Settings>>My DataFinder>>Reset.
    3. Press Execute to reset index and configuration.

You can also create a diagnostics file by going to Help>>About DIAdem>>Support>>Create Diagnostics File, these files can provide more insight on the cause of failures in DIAdem.
