Issue Details

I would like to prevent the LabVIEW Auto Recovery dialog window from opening when I launch LabVIEW. 

Solution

There are two methods for preventing the auto recovery dialog from appearing when LabVIEW is launched:
  • If you want to fully disable the auto recovery feature, you can do so by selecting Tools»Options from LabVIEW's toolbar and navigating to the Environment category to disable auto recovery. You can also change the frequency with which LabVIEW backs up files on this page.
  • If you want to keep the auto recovery feature enabled but still clear recently autosaved files, you can clear the cache of autosaved files by deleting the files present in the LVAutoSave folder. The default location for this folder is at C:\Users\<user where LabVIEW is installed>\Documents\LabVIEW Data\LVAutoSave.
