Install the Astronics Drivers for LabVIEW 2018 and Later

The instrument drivers for the Astronics PXIe-1209, PXIe-2461 and PXIe-3352 are compatible with LabVIEW up to version 2017. This article provides the steps to install the instrument drivers for later versions. This is a workaround, the latest version of the driver is from 2017 and is not guaranteed to work with recent versions of LabVIEW.

Please contact NI for the download to the Soft Front Panel. 

1. Download the driver from the Related Links section.
2. Extract the installer from the ZIP file in the directory of convenience in your computer
3. Run setup.exe and wait for the installation wizard to launch.

4. Click Next.
5. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
6. Select Custom installation and click Next.

7. Select the newest version of LabVIEW available with a bitness that matches your version of LabVIEW and click Next.

8. Click Install and wait for the Device Driver Installation Wizard to launch.

9. Click Next and then Finish.
10. Once the install is finished, it will launch the API installation wizard, click Next twice.
11. Select Custom and click Next.

9. Click Browse, select the folder for your LabVIEW version, and click OK.

13. Click Next twice and then Install.
14. Wait for the installation to complete and then click Finish.
15. Open your version of LabVIEW and create a new VI.
16. In the block diagram, verify that the Astronics device palette shows up in Instrument I/O » Instr Drivers.
